WhatsApp started to roll out a new feature for web users this week that allows them to create their own stickers from the images in the gallery. The feature enables users to quickly create a sticker from an image within the platform without using any third party apps. The platform also offers a bunch of editing tools such as Outline, Emoji, Sticker, Text, Paint and Crop & Rotate and further allows users to modify the image. As of now, the feature is only available to WhatsApp web users but do you know that you can also create custom selfie stickers on Instagram.
The Facebook-owned social networking platform had the feature for a while now. Instagram users on iOS and Android devices can create custom stickers that they can send to other users or they can even use it on their Stories. Here is how you can create custom selfie stickers on Instagram.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
Open the Instagram app on your smartphone.
Go to an existing chat with any user or create a new conversation through the button on the top right corner of the screen.
Now, tap on the stickers icon at the right side of the message bar that is at the bottom of the screen.
From the menu, tap in the first ‘Selfie’ option.
Click the selfie that you want to create a sticker of. You can change the colour and background of the image by tapping in the small camera screen in the middle.
If you want to add effects on your sticker, you can choose from six options available right below the camera screen.
Tap on the Boomerang icon at the centre.
On the next screen, you can find options to save the sticker or send it to another user. You can also retake the selfie from that window.
